Volunteer Agreement & Waiver<\/h1>\n

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with AvaCon! We are tremendously grateful to our volunteer team. We simply wouldn’t be able to accomplish all the programs and events that take place every year without the generous donation of time from volunteers like you!<\/p>\n

As a condition of volunteering, we need to make sure that you understand and agree to a few things related to your volunteer service, and the purpose of this form is to formalize that understanding. No one should sign a document they don’t understand, so if you have any questions or concerns about the language in this agreement, please don’t hesitate to contact your volunteer coordinator for more information.<\/p>\n

AvaCon, Inc. Volunteer Agreement & Waiver<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n

In exchange for the opportunity to volunteer and participate in activities produced by AvaCon, Inc. (“AvaCon”), I hereby accept and agree to the following conditions of my volunteer service:<\/p>\n

Code of Conduct & Company Policies<\/h3>\n

I understand that my participation in AvaCon’s activities is important to the success of the organization, and I will honor my time and service commitments. I will conduct myself with professionalism and respect the rights and dignity of all people involved with the program. I also agree to comply with all applicable laws and AvaCon company policies during my volunteer service.<\/p>\n

Photographs & Videos for Archival and Promotional Purposes<\/h3>\n

I understand that photos and videos of AvaCon events and activities are often taken for archival or promotional purposes, and I hereby release and agree that AvaCon has the right to use my name, voice, photograph, and likeness in all forms and media including composite or modified representations for the purposes of promoting, advertising, and archiving AvaCon’s events and activities.<\/p>\n

Voluntary Participation<\/h3>\n

I acknowledge that I am volunteering my services to AvaCon, and I understand that as a volunteer I will receive no pay for my services, nor will I be covered by any employment or health benefits that may be available to AvaCon employees. I further understand that as a volunteer, I will not be an employee of AvaCon for any purpose, including for purposes of federal, state, or local employment laws.<\/p>\n

Assumption of Risk & Waiver<\/h3>\n

I agree that the nature of the volunteer work I will be doing has been explained to me and that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the volunteer effort without injuring myself in any manner. I understand that at times the work may be very psychologically demanding and may involve working for extended periods of time at a computer. I assume full personal responsibility for all risks arising from, or relating to, my volunteer work, and I hereby release AvaCon, Inc., and their officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers, affiliates, successors, assigns, and subsidiaries from claims, demands and damages of every kind, known, or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to to my volunteer service.<\/p>\n

I have read and understood this agreement and I am over the age of 18.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
